WRITERS & ARTISTS

Welcome to Foreseer Productions, a site dedicated to providing information on some of the questions writers often face when trying to breach the field of publishing. Most often it's whom you know that will place you at the top to even consider being read by one of the top publishers of today. Because of this, a lot of first-time writers turn to self-publishing. It's quick and easy, and gets your book out to the public.

There are many types of ways to get a book published, with multiple formatting styles available. The main publishing types are these: Main Stream, Vanity, and Print on Demand.

- A Vanity press is a publishing house that publishes books at the author's expense.

- Mainstream publishers derive their profit from sales of the book to persons other than the author, but must be cautious in choosing works that will sell, particularly as they must recoup their investment in the book.

- Print on Demand is a printing technology and business process in which new copies of a book are not printed until an order has been received.
